System replacement

Air Conditioning Replacement in London

If your air conditioning is old, unreliable, noisy or expensive to run, swapping it for a modern inverter system can lower your running costs and make the space more comfortable. We remove the old equipment safely, including recovering the refrigerant, and install a correctly sized new system.

What’s included

  • A survey of your current system and the space it serves
  • A correctly sized replacement, not just a like-for-like swap
  • Safe removal of the old units, with the refrigerant recovered by F-Gas certified engineers
  • Disposal of the old equipment
  • Installation, testing and a walkthrough of the new controls

Signs it may be time to replace

Frequent breakdowns

Repair bills are adding up, or the same fault keeps coming back.

Rising running costs

Older fixed-speed units use more electricity than modern inverter systems.

It can no longer keep up

The room still feels too warm on hot days, or the system is noisy.

It uses R22 refrigerant

R22 can no longer be used to top up or repair systems, so older R22 units are hard to keep running.

Frequently asked questions

Is replacing my system worth it?

An inverter system adjusts its output to match demand instead of switching on and off, so it usually uses less electricity than an older fixed-speed unit. We’ll talk through the options, and if a repair makes more sense, we’ll say so.

Can you reuse the existing pipework?

Sometimes. It depends on the condition and size of the pipes and what the new system needs. We check this during the survey.

What happens to the old system?

We recover the refrigerant safely, as the regulations require, and remove and dispose of the old equipment.
